CHECKING PROCEDURE FOR SURROUND CIRCUIT
Outputting surround signal normally requires that opposite phase signals be applied to both the left and right channels.
However, this unit incorporates a service mode, allowing the surround circuit to be tested using in-phase signals.
When the CD player or AF oscillator is connected :
Power on the unit.
Set the input selector button of the unit to the "CD"
position.
While pressing both "+" and "-" of the surround
level adjustment button "SURROUND, press the
"Power" button.
When the tape deck is connected :
Power on the unit.
Set the input selector button of the unit to the "TAPE
MONITOR" position.
While pressing both "+" and "-" of the surround
level adjustment button "SURROUND, press the
"Power" button.
The letter SURROUND flash on the FL display.
