IN5851
The IN5851 is a monolithic CMOS integrated circuit which uses an
inexpensive RC oscillator for its frequency reference and provides all the
features required for implementing a pulse dialer with 32 digit redial.
Wide operating voltage range (2.0~6.0V)
Low power dissipation
Use either a standard 2 of 7 matrix keyboard with negative true
common or the inexpensive form A-type keyboard
Make/Break ratio can be selected
Redial with * or #
Continuous MUTE
Power up clear circuitry on chip
10 pps/20 pps can be selected

This device contains protection circuitry to guard against damage due to high static voltages or electric
fields. However, precautions must be taken to avoid applications of any voltage higher than maximum rated
voltages to this high-impedance circuit. For proper operation, VIN and VOUT should be constrained to the range
GND(VIN or VOUT)VCC.
Unused inputs must always be tied to an appropriate logic voltage level (e.g., either GND or VCC).
Unused outputs must be left open.
